Third Leg of cruising with Dick and Pat on s/v CRUSADER a Peterson 44 sail boat.

After completing leg one and two of sailing s/vCRUSADER from January 15,2003 thru June 28,20003 covering over 3,000 miles we returned to Santa Barbara via bus and plane for the summer to visit with friends and family. We left the boat at Marina Seca dry storage in San Carlos Mexico. Luis Zaragosa and JesusSalas@marinasancarlos.com over saw all the work and needs for the hurricane season July thru October2003. All went well including the time during hurricane Marty which was the worse one in 75 yrs.Gladys even e-mailed us to reassure that all was okay. Time to start our third leg. The following is our plane for this season thru June2004 before the next hurricane season. Like most cruiser’s plans they are written in sand. Take s/vCRUSADER from dry dock in San Carlos to Central America by June2004

This leg sees us visiting more of the Sea of Cortez either on Baja or mainland side. We will probably go to Mazatlan for Thanksgiving and maybe an inland trip to Copper Canyon and then on to Puerto Vallarta at Christmas time. Leave the boat there and fly home to California for the holidays to be with family, grand children and friends. January and February should find us sailing down the gold coast of Manzanillo to Z-town(Zihuatanejo). Here will be the good time to go again inland to Colima and Guadalajara. March should find us Acapulco exploring the rest of gold coast. Inland here would be Mexico City and Guatemala. April will have us crossing the Tehuantepec to Central America. Maybe we will find an intense language school along the way. Leaving CRUSADER either here in Central America or Costa Rica for the next hurricane season flying back to Santa Barbara, our crew for now is us. We are looking for friends and family to hook up with us. Let us know anyone interested and we can talk dates and ports.
